The venue for the bands is great. The bartenders in THAT part are attentive and serve quickly. The front part and restaurant can use a whole new set of bartenders. The bar is huge and 2 bartenders is not enough. They need at least 4 or 5 especially on nights where there is a band. Service is so slow. Unless you flash them, you can't get them to look at you to order a beer. I would have ordered food but I was afraid it would take too long so I skipped it. And no waiters come by the tables or couches you are sitting at, and they really should.

I just moved to the Chicago area 10 months ago and iv'e already been to HOME about 5-6 times. Few things: 1. Yes, there is a lot of security there, and it's for your own protection. They were doing an awesome job keeping everything under control. 2. When there's a big band coming there and it's a sold out show, the place is going to be PACKED. Sometimes even feels like it's oversold. People are seating, bumping into each other and getting in the way of your view. These things happen, be prepared. 3. The crew is always nice to me whenever i need something but good lord, if there's a show with 5 bands and people want to sit for 3 minutes to rest their legs, let them sit! There are always empty tables there but security won't let people sit near them. I don't blame them, it's their orders. That's pretty much it. Overall it's a GREAT place to see a band live, the stage is awesome and the sound is great.
